my favourite poem about grief is the Raven by Edgar Allan Poe. in my own personal journey with grief some of it has been really dark hence my fondness for Poe. but for certain people who I have lost I like the stories that remind me of the kindness or humour they shared with me while being a part of my life. for instance this poem about my nan https://pyscopoet.home.blog/2021/06/01/granny-smith/
Remember them,
Take the love they had for you,
Stow it in your heart,
Adding your own,
Tell the stories of fun,
They made with you,
Tell the stories of affection.
They shared with you,
Remember them with joy in your heart.
Miss them by all means,
They are gone in body,
They are gone in voice,
Remember them,
In the stories you share,
In the poems you write.
To all those who broke your heart,
Leave them in the past,
Faces Long forgotten,
The grief they gave will not last,
The lessons they taught remember.
As they made you stronger.
I have loved and lost,
I have lost and learnt,
My heart is full of the love left behind,
There is no room for the,
Foulness that nearly broke me,
Grief is two sided,
Use the dark to protect the light.

(Grief is two sided,
Use the dark to protect the light.)
I needed to read this today. Very healing and uplifting.
