Laughing as if lunatics,

Making others cringe.

Bloody writers drink,

Coffee, tea, chocolate,

Discussing jottings.

Bloody writers share,

Freaking out their audience,

Scaring spectators.

Bloody writers drink,

Coffee, tea, chocolate,

Discussing scribbles.

Bloody writers read,

Stories, poems and legends,

Comforting each other.

Bloody writers drink,

Coffee, tea, chocolate,

Discussing scribbles.

Bloody writers work,

Words into fables of life,

Leaving legacies.

Bloody writers drink,

Coffee, tea, chocolate,

Discussing scribbles.

Bloody writers’ death,

From disgruntled readers,

Blood-soaked bodies.

Bloody writers mourned,

Their scribblings now selling,

Only after death.

Sadly sometimes the blood brings recognition Rog !! 🙂 I invite you to come read my OLN offering tonight on my site — and to experience my wife Kathy’s profound love affair with nature, which is currently hampered by her newly discovered cancer. She goes into the UW Fred Hutch Cancer Center April 22nd for a multi-hour regimen of robotics surgery on her neck and throat area. Post Op will put her in ICU for Four days.
