we were asked at the #dverse poets pub tonight to imagine being outside looking into a house of our choice. To start with I felt a bit like a stalker. but then wondered what i would see if i witnessed, well i will lett the poem do the showing.

WHERE!
Where do I enter this house of love?
I feel the love coming from this place,
Mixed love and pain why?
I knew this house with no door knob!
I feel the love coming from this place,
Love and peace for all emanates,
From these very walls.
I once knew.
Mixed love and pain why?
Heartache and loss, hurt and grief,
I knew those in grief and loss.
Love and peace I project.
I knew this house with no door knob,
It was once my home full of love,
Now I watch as my family say goodbye,
To me myself and I.

Great build with all the repetitions – like all the layers of paint, the histories played out – and what a sad ending –

House and home, hard to separate, but so often must to be done.
