Man up.
#manup
My mind whirls like van cough’s stars,
Tired, tired mind swirls and twirls,
Trying to get a grip,
Man up.
My emotions swirl around my heart,
Tired, tired heart breaking,
Trying to get a grip.
Man up.
No, I won’t man up,
Pain released.

dark night #qudrille

Dark tonight.
#quadrille, #dversepoetrypub
Stars tonight’s sparklers,
Laying in my heart’s darkness,
Hearing her singing our love.
Our sparklers my only light,
Her ghost’s bearing here,
Keeping me company.
My sparkle leaving,
No live since her leaving,
Our Tomb of memories,
All that is left.
I join her.

boombastic#q233
Boombastic!
Booked?
What?
Boogieman tours of London,
Why?
Boo factor, of course!
When?
Booming our deathly anniversary,
Oooh obviously.
Ghosts of London are we,
Joining the living,
Boombastic booing to,
Scare them witless.
Bamboozling the locals,
With our whistles,
Groans and moans,
Never ending.
BOO!

Thanks to all you spooky crowd at #dversepoetrypub for a fun prompt.
acorn #haiubun.

Fall #haibun.
Who remembers the story of chicken licken and the sky falling on his head
The number of acorns this year is just amazing. I cannot recall having seen so many in a single season. Dry as it has been since early spring the local oak trees have been in good order. But when winter finally falls I do wonder how many will survive any winter storms we get this year.
Crunching over acorns,
Blanketing local footpaths,
Oaks saying goodnight.

petals #Quadrille.

Petals. #quadrille
My heart yearns,
For that first touch.
Petals dropped,
That autumn,
Back when,
Way back when.
The memory of her,
Drifting in the smoke,
The smoky distant,
Past Of my youth.
Fire side in the woods,
Where we both,
Dropped our petals,
Of innocents.
