written for the monday prosery promt today at #dversepotepub.
we have been invited to use the line “i dress in their stories patterned and purple as night” from Kimberly Bleaser’s poem “where we sing of might”. this got me thinking about the John Lennon song Imagine.
our lost children
“I dress in their stories patterned and purple as night.” As I mourn the lost children of the world.
From the street children of India to the missing, stolen, sold children of the down trodden and refugee children from war. Why do we call ourselves civilised when we allow the psychopathic leaders of the world to as they want?
The pattern of all child abuse should not be allowed where ever you live in the world or determine if get educated.
John Lennon sang “imagine all the people living in peace.”
And “imagine there are no countries”.
His words of wisdom I believe could help cure our uncivilised approach to society. To cure our home, we need to take out the rot that has set into humanities leadership. Treating us all equally makes us and our home more civilised.
