Smashed #quadrille.
#dversepoetspub, #quadrille, #sunnysideruraltrust.

Here I am,
Smashing it sure is,
Being invited to perform at the Sunnyside.

Here I am,
Smashed on sunshine at,
Sunnyside’s first ever art fair.

A quadrille just,
Letting you know,
Of Anna’s funky art fair at Sunnyside.

The Devils Sonnet

The devils sonnet.

In the Devil’s name, how do we revile,
We take all the good, teach it to Berate
In the shame of man, why do Smile?
Boiling the oceans, getting me Irate.

To much self-destruction Tolerated,
Farmers chemical, dead food production,
Poisoned rivers, water Carbonated.
Mother nature dead, Human destruction.

When nature supplies, why Do we Plastic?
We love to berate, leaving just Hate,
Genuine conservation Fantastic,
With man’s Carelessness Securing Earths Fate.

Weak minded Always ready to revel,
Mankind never owning his own devil.

spider sliver #quadrille

hello all at #dversepoets pub this evening where we are writing quadrilles a poem of 44 words to include the word sliver.

Spider
 sliver #quadrille.

A sliver of dawn sunlight catches,
My smog covered web,
Giving away my locale.

I sliver away like the adder,
In the foggy morning light,
Until my killing web recedes.

This autumn misty morn,
Mating season has arrived,
Droplets covering slivers of my web.

doodle bug

hi all out there in poetry blog land just bit of fun for #dversepoetpubs open link night.

Doodle bug poem.

Doodle all day
Doodle all night
One line after another
Until the pages are full
I have caught the doodle bug
Is it infectious you may ask?
Why I hope so
It may even calm the savage beast
Just give them empty page and pen!

Siblings afoot

Barking at the wind

hi #dversepoetspub tonight you have prompted us to create a poem about our siblings. above is a link created by me and my siblings back in lockdown over a video meeting.

#so a second part has been added with a few reminders for them to giggle over about some of our antics growing up. a link to this will be shared via WhatsApp.

Siblings afoot.
(Barking at the wind part 2)

Run babysitter run.
This foursome will become more.
Growing up together,
Taking on the world.

Fun babysitter fun,
This fivesome will become more
Throwing cushion together,
Taking on the world.

Gone babysitter gone,
This sixsome will become more,
Learning the skills of live together,
Conquering the world.

Six grown into many,
Watch out world here we come,
Stronger together than alone,
Still barking at the wind.
