welcome to #quadrille night at #dversepoetspub.

Is the future dark?
History claims we once had fresh,
Claims we once had fresh darkness,
We once had fresh darkness to breath,
Once had fresh darkness to breath, yeah right,
Had fresh darkness to breath, yeah right what bollocks,
Too Breath yeah right, what bollocks was history.

Interesting use of repetition to create a sensation of something building, something coming.

Yes, the repetition is effective in setting a grim tone; there is no escaping history or the future.
