Tonight at #dverse Sanaa has started a discussion on peer pressure. I have tried to compare peer pressure during my generation and my children’s.

                                                  My generation,

Fashion must haves,

Were Drivel,

Keep up with Joneses,

Pointless effort,

Must have haircut,

A load of Hogwash,

What football tribe to follow,

Just twaddle

Bullied for not,

Bending to peer pressure.

I am still here being me.

                                                  Your generation,

Social media is,

Just communication,

Pouting selfies are,

Pointless,

Filters galore just,

Worthless shite,

Leading to

Low Self-esteem,

For not fitting in.

Just be you.
