This is purely a fictional piece created to fit both #dverse and #fowc prompt today.
My worn feet ache: stood far too long,
Shoes taken off: relieving ache.
Leg, arm and hand: tired from glut,
Glut of hard work: sentence given.
Child killed: blame received,
No alibi: alone sleeping.
My innocence: always ignored,
Glut hard labour: not my reward.
Child killed: mother guilty,
Father blamed: never innocent.

Strong, poignant writing Rog! So often the guilty is let free and innocent sentenced. Thank you so much for writing to the prompt. 💝💝

Lost was I, but intrigued. Strong images, and poetics on shifting sands.

I’ve probably been watching too many movies recently, Roger, but this reads like a psychological thriller to me… great work!
