An invite to quadrille have i received with the word juke. to me there is only one juke and that is the jukebox.

Which three for my coin?
With thanks from my,
Flagging spirits,
Jukebox lights my night
My sagging mood
Lifted by its three
Three tunes have
Chosen my mood
Life force reinstated.
My essence Jukeboxed
With three tunes for a coin
Every Friday it calls

So what songs would you choose to set the mood for the evening?
Because that is what music can do, change or set the mood.
Three for a quarter is a steal as well.
Thanks for joining in.

here in England we used to get three for a pound. but back in my teen years it would have to be one Queen song, one Bon Jovi followed by anything by the Kinks but now in my Fifties anything goes even a bit of Ed Sheran

I can only imagine how it would have been… I can almost see how you would value the choice by seeing how others react to your choice… anything that made people smile would be a smile to myself.

It was a good time in my life before I could afford my own music system

Love this one! Sounds like some good times there with the music. To be honest, when I’m feeling blue, music does lift me out of that sometimes. 🙂 You capture that perfectly here, especially with how it can change moods.

Three tunes for a coin – yeah – it was always hard to choose – wasn’t it? Nicely woven

My aunt and uncle owned a beer joint in Texas, and they were always giving my cousins and I quarters to play the jukebox- what memories!

Oh yeah! And remember the line of buttons….one on top of the other so you had an unbelievable number of combinations to push….Hound Dog by Elvis Presley, A12…..plug in the quarters, choose that one….arm moved, it dropped down, and voila, the hips started movin’ even if you were sitting in a booth sipping on a chocolate malt! 🙂

The Kinks singing about Lola over a pint of local craft beer. and dancing to Eloise by the cult are fond memories.

Wow, three tunes for a coin, that is a deal! Ours used to take quasrters, I think it was a quarter a tune.

My taste juked from “Johnny Be Good” to “I Walk The Line” , interspersed with Johnny Ray’s “Little White Cloud that Cried”. I loved it all!

I like the iconic dimensions the jukebox takes on here. Best of all it is something you can depend on.

It’s all about the song selection in life. We are creatures of mood and lucky for us we have music to lift us higher.

Three tunes per coin – I remember that! Turns out I have my own juke box memories 🙂 My dad used to give me a pound for the juke box to keep me entertained down the pub…

You’ve created a mood in a few words. I can imagine someone coming in, and their spirits raised by their song selections (and also the ritual, I think).
