Preserving your memory,

Within a crystal cube,

Sealed the day I encountered you,

Your essence still upon it,

Reminds me of our interval together,

The memory of you tying,

Your kerchief as you vamoosed,

To collect your husband from drudgery,

Leaving merely our forget-me-knot.

  6. Though I haven’t seen the film, it felt like a wonderful summary, even having room in the quadrille for those little interesting details like “your kerchief as you vamoosed”.
