No fun guy

I sit in the rain
Under red fleshy brolly
Licking the white spots
Made my belly ache
Toads stool I have borrowed
To sit upon while I
Watch the fairies
Skip around their ring
While my belly aches
Truffling through the
Tuffs of black trumpets as
Puffball pixies peel
Portabella’s shrooms
My belly still aching
Chantelle is my name
morels Is my game
I should not have listened
To the no fun guy
About white spots being trippy
Because oh shitake by belly ache
Is going to kill ………….

I love how this poem goes from a coherent to incoherent manner in the imagery:
“Made my belly ache
Toads stool I have borrowed
To sit upon while I
Watch the fairies
Skip around their ring
While my belly aches
Truffling through the
Tuffs of black trumpets as
Puffball pixies peel…”
As well with these lines, really shows how immersing a trip can be:
“I should not have listened
To the no fun guy
About white spots being trippy
Because oh shitake by belly ache
Is going to kill ………….”
Something about the ending gets me, maybe it’s just the emergence of a clearer mind once the effect begins to wear off, but the acknowledgement of its after-effects, I love that. 😀 A great poem, radiating in the perfect psychedelic effect you portray especially in the aspect of good and bad trips; the imagery is consuming.
I also now have this song in my head: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_Wu6lI-42w

Pretty yes, but eaty — no! Loved the use of the multiple shroom typed.

This was lots of fun – all those names woven in, lots of wordplay – and an abrupt ending that left me hoping for the best!
