Words among Friends. (All lines taken from tiki guild poems and stories). #tikiguild, #frindship, #inmemoryoff,
Always there, behind you, Bigging you up when needed, Listening with open ears and big hearts.
Wine among friends! Wonderful friends, The bus shelter collective, inspecting the guild, Getting squiffy! On the smell Of Classy Carrier Bags, Remembering friends no longer here, As Mackerel fed beach foxes.
Humble grape by day, sweet and juicy, Eaten and drunk in Tiki’s last chair! Where we polished of his (h)air.
These purple walls now dark, Stained with the love of past life, Lost over cliff edges, Soaked into them the energy, of the Shangri la’s, Do you, you remember the days, Days of sand, sun, sex and Shangri-La. (remember fucking on the sand).
What’s your weapon of choice? A kiss from a rose? No, to kind? Maybe a cheer from a stilted angel? Or maybe a bag full of autumn leaves?
The stories we guild friends have shared, Sat in the bus shelter full of affection. Words of laughter and love among friends. Even those found in the Piller boxes of old, They have a key, a pilfered key, to my heart.
No nose wrinkled, one cause even tempers, Were you here crone? During our summer, Fairy name use means flowers arose, Near people can remove magic for sure. Fairy vocals rise in song, Crow verses hoarse, see the light to renew, Assume nothing, Once van delivers sum-mer, Aware that the caves are haunted, Fairy voices rise into sea shanties, Over cream teas.

The line you shared from Pablo Neruda’s Sonnet 17 ” I love you as certain dark things are to be loved.” it truly intrigued me. it also got me thinking of a version of The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkle by the rock group Disturbed. with the line “Hello Darkness my old friend.”
Darkness negated.
Hello darkness my old friend,+ Your embrace my home for so long, I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,* Watching those who dwell in the light of love.
Every Monday the blues beckon, Tedium’s embrace my home for so long, I love the comfort of the home tedium supplied, Never trying to keep up with the Joneses.
today @ #dversepoetrypub we are waxing lyrically about newspaper.
only one wat to go for me back to the Monday evenings of my early teenage years delivering the local rag.
A cut and paste poem, I created for a poetry workshop (David Bowie influenced).
Paper round. #poetry, #dversepoetspub, #childhood,
Monday, bloody Monday, Legs aching, mind reeling, School bags haphazardly dumped, Uniform into the wash, calls mum, Out to face the weather with numb fingers.
Monday evening blues, Legs aching, heart sinking, Paper round bags collected, Walking shoes rubbing, Out to face the grumpy old gits with barking dogs.
Monday evening niggles, Legs aching, belly grumbling, Paper bag empty and returned, First wages burning holes in pocket, Newspaper print, all over hands.
