I spend my days boxferreting,
Dreaming of being beached under sunset
Ferritting one box to this pallet,
Ferreting this box to that pallet,
Instead of rainbowing along the damp sand,
Sanding my soggy toes relieving,
The days spending box ferreting,
pencilling wordings to the other box ferrets,
Saying goodbyes ever and a day,
Now sunsetting on a beach no longer dreaming,
Verbing every night on the mooning lighted beach.

“Boxferreting” is a great word, and a great image. I agree – rainbowing would be much better. Some great word choices.

I haven’t been “rainbowed” for a long time. Perhaps your clever poem did it for me.

I spent a lot of time boxferreting, but we’re finally moved now, and I’m unboxferreting.

I so enjoyed the boxferreting and ferreting of verses here.

Your poem really tickled me this morning. I love the word ‘boxferreting’; I haven’t been in that situation for a long time and I much prefer ‘rainbowing along the damp sand’.
