#Quadrille, #dverse,
Thanks Kim at #dverse poets pub for such a wonderful quadrille prompt.
could not help but go where the bells took me.
hells bells toll
Why.
Thy bell tolls, For thy
bell-end trolls, Nasty remarks,
on tip of tongue. Ready to offend,
Bell-end trolls not wanted Here at,
Poetβs place of repose. Love of words,
Always welcome, when thy bell tolls for trolls,
Last Days Upon Earth Giving,
HELL.

I love where the bells took you, Rog! Hells bells indeed β and, as a teacher, I used to give detentions to boys who called each other bell-end!

I think that must be UK slang.

It is slang. An unpleasant way of calling somebody an idiot.

Yes. I got that. It’s not a slang term used here. π

Great use of layout here! I like the repetition, and the way it circles round itself.

A fun read, Roger. After I looked up the meaning, English, I understood. So when one troll falls and the bells ring, we should applaud. Rather you guys should, we in the U.S. don’t recognize this. We have the “Billy Goat Gruff” nursery first book of Troll as creatures, bad, that we spray for along with the weeds, living under the bridge. That was my favorite early childhood book.
Thanks for reading my blurb, Welcome. And please come back. My writes are for play and run the gamut.
