Quadrille #97 – Filling the Page


Felicitations, my fantastic poetical peeps! De Jackson (aka WhimsyGizmo) here, and it fills me with great joy to be hosting the Quadrille today, that fun pithy little form of our own forming here at dVerse, wherein we ask you to faithfully formulate a poem of exactly 44 words (not counting the title) and including one specific word we fling your way.

This week, I’d like you to find some poetic fun with the word fill.

What will you fill your page with? Some fulfilling verse? A stable of frolicking fillies? Fill a bucket. Fill a hole. Get your fill, or fill your soul. Take us on a trip to the dentist to get a filling. We’ll even let you get away with fillet, if the words are delicious enough.

Creamy filling. Mmmmm.
